Basic Health Care

Most communities we operate lack the very basic health care. There are a huge number of people in these areas that have no access to better private/public health sector and therefore must rely on less equipped clinics at their disposal. These clinics are under-funded and lack services and facilities. By taking part in this program, you can offer vital assistance to a doctor or even non-professionals and nurses in these clinics while getting an insight into the lives of underprivileged individuals in the villages.

This program is an outstanding one for professionals and students who want to gain experience in their chosen field of career. Volunteer(s) will provide basic health care for rural people, decrease the prevalence of endemic disease and improve overall village health by providing public health projects and promoting health education in the villages. Volunteer(s) will be placed in hospitals, clinics, community health centers to assist doctors, nurses and other staff health workers.

Volunteer(s) Role

As a volunteer you will spend most times in clinics that help support many sick little children and women who cannot get help anywhere else. This means that you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the health service in the areas that need it. This will make a profound difference to the lives of the people in the surrounding community. Volunteer’s role can also range from observational to basic assistance, depending on your level of knowledge

This community volunteer program is based in the deprived and needy rural villages of Ghana by helping children and local communities currently facing the struggle of living within these areas. It is a fantastic opportunity to work within large organizations who really need your help to manage the number of children and local communities that they care for.
